CMT visited the Laboratory of Physical-Mechanical Properties and Destruction of Rocks at St. Petersburg Mining University

As part of strategic cooperation between CMT Consulting and St. Petersburg Mining University, CMT specialists visited the Laboratory of Physical-Mechanical Properties and Destruction of Rocks.

During the visit, CMT checked the quality of strength tests of rocks collected during the field supervision of geotechnical drilling at a large gold deposit.

Quality control is a standard procedure that CMT performs in each exploration supervision project.

Laboratory uses various testing equipment, ranging from basic to complex units, and from indirect to direct methods. All methods and techniques used by the laboratory produce results that are close to natural conditions.

Over the years of joint work, the Rock Mechanics Laboratory of St. Petersburg Mining University has proved itself as a reliable partner in the field of rock testing. The methods and standards (GOST, ISRM, ASTM) used in the laboratory allow the entire range of necessary tests to be conducted.
