CMT completed an audit of the Geological Service of the Irkutsk Business Unit of PJSC “Vysochaishy”

In December 2023, CMT Consulting completed an audit of the Geological Service of the Irkutsk Business Unit of PJSC “Vysochaishy”.

Audit of the Geological Service was undertaken at the request of the Company's investors. The main audit objectives included:

• analysis of completeness and adequacy of the works carried out as part of geological exploration;
• audit and analysis of the implementation and compliance with the accepted exploration techniques;
• retrospective analysis of historical drilling and geological survey data;
• analysis of the potential to optimize and modernize the accepted operating procedure;
• conclusions and recommendations with regard to current operations.

Audit was conducted in the following key areas:

• drilling;
• core transportation;
• core logging;
• sample collection and preparation;
• control of sample collection, preparation and assay;
• storage of core and rock samples;
• availability of the necessary regulations and instructions related to the activities of the Geological Service;
• availability of historical boreholes, completeness of geological surveys and compliance with survey procedures.

CMT visited one of the deposits of this cluster.

The main objective of the site visit was to observe the drilling process and the primary core treatment.

As a result of this work, a detailed report on the audit of the Geological Service was prepared with conclusions and recommendations for optimization and modernization of the Geological Service and the main procedures and methods for monitoring and supervision of geological exploration in accordance with the international best practices.
