CMT completed packer testing in the pilot borehole at Oktyabrsky mine

In June 2024, CMT successfully completed packer tests in the GSS-1 pilot borehole at Oktyabrsky mine in Norilsk.

Tests provided up-to-date information on hydrogeological conditions, which is required for the development of detailed design documentation for reconstruction of ground support and furnishing of the SS-1 skip shaft.

A total of 27 hydrogeological packer tests were conducted in the borehole using the Geopro packer system (Belgium), including 17 Lugeon step-rate injection tests.
