We visited the laboratory of physical and mechanical properties and destruction of rocks at St. Petersburg State University

As part of the strategic cooperation between CMT Consulting and the St. Petersburg Mining University, CMT specialists visited the laboratory of physical and mechanical properties (FMS) and rock destruction.

During the visit, quality control of FMS tests was carried out on rocks selected during the project for field support of drilling geomechanical wells at a large gold deposit.

Quality control is a standard procedure that CMT specialists perform on every exploration support project.

To conduct tests, the Laboratory uses various equipment, from basic to complex in use, from indirect to direct. Taken together, all the methods and techniques used make it possible to obtain a result close to natural conditions.

Over the years of cooperation, the Laboratory of FMS of St. Petersburg State University has established itself as a reliable partner in the field of studying the FMS of breeds. The applied methods and standards (GOST, ISRM, ASTM) allow us to perform the entire list of necessary tests.
