Roman is engaged in planning, conducting and quality control of various hydrogeological test programs including those that use international techniques as part of studies of different levels (Scoping, PFS, FS). He has conducted cluster and single pumping tests (using conventional and air-lift pumps), well injections using packer equipment and installation of piezometer strings to record aquifer pressure and temperature in wells of up to 1,100 m deep. His project experience includes hydrogeological modelling and measurements of pore pressure in the rock mass, as well as assessments and audits of hydrogeological risks at mine sites.

For over 10 years Ivan has been involved in underground and open pit project studies at different stages. He is a professional user of various geotechnical software packages and has extensive experience in geotechnical modelling.
Ivan specializes in characterization of rock mass in accordance with international classifications: Rock Mass Rating (RMR), Modified Rock Mass Rating (MRMR, iMRMR), Barton Q System and others. He has experience in conducting trainings and organization of geotechnical data collection using international standards, as well as in control of geotechnical drilling and dealing with contractors.
He is a co-authorof the Federal Safety Rules and Standards: Rules for Ensuring Stability of Benches and Slopes of Open Pits and Waste Dumps.
Head of Mining Department
Egor Kuleshov specializes in the management of interdisciplinary projects for the assessment of technological, economic and social risks of mining and processing enterprises, the preparation of expert opinions for credit institutions and private investors.
He has completed more than 40 technical and economic audits and estimates of mining companies’ reserves (coal, gold, uranium, potash salts, man-made placer deposits).
Egor’s professional experience in mining and geological consulting includes the search for optimal technical solutions, audits of enterprises in accordance with international standards, the search for promising licensed sites and enterprises for investment, the assessment of the regional raw material base, the development of Scooping Study, PFS, and company development strategies.
Among other areas of activity, it is worth noting the development of technical projects, operational inventory recalculation, optimization of production capacities, conducting ZIF tests at launch, and examination of feasibility studies of conditions as an expert of the GKZ.
Work experience – more than 18 years. This includes 3 years as a mining engineer at the design institute, 2 years as a chief mining engineer at Atomredmetzoloto (PPGHO and Elkonsky MMC) and 13 years as a project manager in mining and geological consulting. He has been an active expert at the GKZ since 2015.

Ekaterina has over 10 years of environmental protection experience in consulting companies.
She has experience in applying both the Russian environmental legislation and good international industry practice (GIIP), as well as Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) such as Equator Principles and international requirements of the World Bank Group (including International Finance Corporation, IFC), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), International Council for Mining and Metals (ICMM) and JORC Code. Ekaterina specializes in Environmental and Social (E&S) baseline studies, ESIA, E&S due diligence; preparation of environmental sections for Scoping / PFS / FS reports, Resource and Reserve reports, CPR, stakeholder engagement and supervision of ARDML studies.
Mineral Processing Expert
He has more than 15 years of experience in the field of processing and enrichment of mineral raw materials, including the full cycle of project implementation – from the preparation of feasibility studies to the development of technical projects and participation in bank technical audits.
Specializes in optimizing processing technology schemes, assessing the quality of the raw material base, analyzing technological regulations, selecting and calculating basic technological equipment, as well as calculating key technological indicators of processing plants.
Professional experience includes working with ore and placer deposits of gold, copper and iron ore objects, preparation of sections of technical documentation (ScopingStudy, Pre-Feasibility Study, feasibility study of temporary and permanent conditions), participation in the calculation of reserves according to the JORC Code, analysis of design and permits, registration of GPP and obtaining construction permits.
Conducts technical audits for banks and investors, including an assessment of the completeness of research, the correctness of design decisions and the achievability of declared technological indicators. Alexander has joined the consulting practice having 11 years of experience in the mining sector, including experience at mines and in design institutes. During his professional career, Alexander has gained extensive experience performing a wide range of activities: mining and transport estimations and graphical constructions at various design stages, estimation of the optimal pit depth using various methods (including NPV Scheduler and Micromine software – Pit Optimizer module); planning of open pits and waste dumps and volume estimation using specialised software for mining and 3D geological modelling (Micromine, Datamine, Deswik); mining-and geometric analysis of an open pit minefield; scheduling of mining and stripping operations; estimation of open pitcapacity using various methods; calculation of ore losses and dilution; mine optimization,selection of mining and transport equipment and calculation of equipment productivities; estimation of mining equipment and personnel requirements; accounting of reserves that have been accessed, prepared and ready for extraction; development of data sheets for mining operations; designer supervision at mine sites, and preparation of ToRs for design work.

Anna has over 9 years of experience in the financial and investment valuation of mining projects. Her professional background includes the development of financial and economic models for mineral deposit development at various stages, including Pre-Feasibility Study, Feasibility Study, technical-economic substantiation of mining parameters, and the economic sections of project documentation (Basic Engineering, FEED, Detailed Design). She has experience in submitting and defending projects before the State Commission on Mineral Reserves (GKZ) and the Central Commission on Mineral Resources (TsKR).
Anna conducts market analysis for the commodity products of mining and metallurgical projects, prepares business plans and project development concepts, as well as presentations for investment committees and external investors. The financial model of the Tyrnyauz Mining and Metallurgical Complex developed by Anna has been included in the financial model database of the educational project SF Education as an example of an industry-specific model in the Metals & Mining sector.

Alexander has more than 40 years of theoretical and practical experience in geotechnical engineering. He was involved in establishing geotechnical teams at mines and led training courses for geotechnical engineers in companies such as Kazakhmys, Kazzinc, Kazminerals, Polymetal, Polyus and Nordgold.
For supervisory authorities and the Government of Kazakhstan, he completed the study to justify the re-mining of pillars with roof caving to stabilize geotechnical conditions at Jezkazgan deposit. Alexander facilitated the introduction of a new technology of pillar extraction for re-mining operations at Jezkazgan deposit, which enabled over 20 Mt of ore to be extracted from pillars.
He has developed a method for assessment of pillar stability and redistribution of stresses during pillar extraction. He took part in the development of a comprehensive void monitoring programme based on pillar conditions, rock mass seismics, ground movement and estimates.
Alexander has also developed a method to back calculate ore pillar strength properties based on pillar bursts due to rock stresses and proposed guidelines to determine permissible pillar conditions for re-mining operations.

Mikhail has more than 15 years’ experience in the hydrogeological modelling, which includes epignosis and predictive groundwater flow and migration modelling, estimation of water inflows into mine workings, development of dewatering and groundwater protection measures and assessment of their efficiency, interpretation of hydrogeological testing results, geostatistical data processing, optimization of hydrogeological and hydrogeochemical monitoring systems. His additional experience inlcudes comprehensive assessment of deposit mining impacts on groundwater conditions (hydrogeochemical effects, changes in water balance and spatial structure of groundwater flow, calculation of damage to river flows and fresh groundwater reserves).
