We completed the project to audit the Geological Survey of the Irkutsk business unit of PJSC “Vysochaishy”
In December 2023, CMT Consulting completed a project to audit the Geological Survey of the Irkutsk business unit of PJSC Vysochaishy.
The audit of the geological service was carried out at the request of the Company’s investors. The main objectives of the audit were:
- analysis of the completeness and correctness of the work carried out within the framework of geological exploration;
- audit and analysis of implementation and compliance with accepted geological exploration techniques;
- retrospective analysis of historical drilling and geological data;
- analysis of possibilities for optimization and modernization of the adopted work scheme;
- conclusions and recommendations for ongoing work.
The audit was carried out on the following main points:
- drilling;
- core transportation;
- core documentation;
- sampling and preparation of samples;
- control of sampling, preparation and analytical studies of samples;
- storage of core and samples;
- availability of necessary regulations and instructions relating to the work of the geological service;
- availability of historical wells, completeness of geological studies performed and compliance with their regulations.
CMT Consulting specialists visited one of the fields in this cluster.
The main purpose of the trip to the field was to become familiar with the drilling process and the process of primary core processing.
The result of the work performed was a detailed audit report of the geological service with conclusions and recommendations for optimization and modernization of the geological service and the main procedures and methods for monitoring and supporting geological exploration work in accordance with the best world practices.
